IoT Research Initiative

IoT Collaborative Research Initiative

MIT Auto-ID Labs initiative to extend Auto-ID Center ideas which catalyzed RFID systems and germinated the concept of IoT in 1999. AIDL’s IoT Collaborative Research Initiative (ICRI) expects to explore a range of research areas where invention and innovation may advance digital transformation through engineering design in multiple industries (diffusion of the industrial internet). We invite ideas to stimulate R&D necessary for new tools and technologies which may integrate data, analytics, AI, ML, M2M, IoT, digital twins, cybersecurity and platforms. The convergence may spark fundamental questions about connectivity, intelligent decision systems and systemic integration by design to drive the digital enterprise. We expect a collaborative research effort to induce creative convergences while embracing innovation uncertainty which is characteristic of most entrepreneurial endeavors.
