Folks,
Any pointers to understand the Class myths created by Auto-ID for RFID will be highly appreciated. To my understanding there is no hard and fast rule to stick to given class like there are some writeable tags (so called class 0+) using class 0 air interface where as they are meant to be read-only. But there should be few limitations to define and differentiate these classes.
In my hunt to find some publications for understanding the classes I came across “Standardization Requirements within the RFID Class Structure Framework” by Daniel W. Engels, Sanjay E. Sarma. I wonder that there is nothing about class 0 in this document.
ISO RFID classification is very very clear and straight forward from hardware to air interface but EPC thing is quite messy; atleast for me.
I’ll appreciate if anyone can provide any valid pointers to understand the classes and generations terminology of AutoID’s RFID.
Regards,
ali
